Family cycling holidays in Mortimer Country, North Herefordshire

Take the whole family on a cycling holiday in Mortimer Country, North Herefordshire, with “no price hikes for school holidays”.

Save up to 50% on new Wheely Wonderful Cycling holiday prices for teenagers & children

No price hikes for school holidays.  With the government clamping down on unofficial term time holidays.  Wheely Wonderful Cycling have never increased their prices over the school holiday period, they are the same all year round.  They have also extended their child prices, in 2014 to include all teenagers under 16 years old. Families can make a saving of up to 50% for children under 12years, and 30% saving for teenagers under 16 years.

It means all the family can take advantage of Wheely Wonderful Cycling’s range of 30 cycling holidays based on the English / Welsh borders, with traffic free cycle routes, luggage transfers & carefully chosen accommodation.  All teenager & children’s prices are based on sharing a family room or family suite with two adults.

Kay Dartnell from Wheely Wonderful Cycling said, “We have introduced some new accommodation this year with more family rooms and family suites, so that we were able to reduce our children & teenager prices on our short break and longer holidays”

Cycling and Canoeing holidays and longer more challenging tours are the most popular choice for families with teenagers. Wheely Wonderful Cycling’s newest cycle tour for 2014, provides both these options; The Wye Valley Cycling and Canoeing holiday, combines a three-day cycle tour through the Welsh borders and the half-timbered villages of Herefordshire, with a day canoeing down the River Wye in a Canadian canoe. It includes three nights B&B at Presteigne & Hay on Wye. On the cycling days, there is a choice of cycle rides, so teenagers can cycle longer distances if they want to challenge contd

their parents…. And all the accommodation used has free wifi.  Price, £375 per adult, £280 for under 16s and £215 for under 12s.

For younger children there is a range of Family Farmhouse cycling holidays, which involve a shorter cycle ride each day.  Available either as a short break or a six day cycle tour, staying in Clun, Ludlow and the Black & White village of Kingsland for £475 per adult, £255 for under 12s and £330 for under 16s.

Chris Dartnell of Wheely Wonderful Cycling says “There is loads to see & do on this holiday; on your first day you cycle upstream along the River Teme on your first day. Stop at a Roman village for lunch, the riverside inn has a great garden. Next stop Brampton Bryan - with a coracle maker and a castle (the scene of a famous siege in the civil war – Lady Brilliana against the Parliamentarian   army). Just before Bucknell is the great mound of Coxall knoll, site of King Caractacus’ last stand against the Romans.  That’s in the first 10 miles before you get to Bucknell . Oh there’s also a teashop ... just in case you get hungry in the afternoon! “……
