After more than ten years of outside catering in Afternoon and High Teas, cookery workshops and AGA demonstrations in the Netherlands, we decided in 2004 that running a Bed and Breakfast in Britain was the logical step forward.

The Old House has been a home for more than 400 years right in the heart of the village of Kingsland, in this quiet and rural part of Britain. Its restoration has been a wonderful source of inspiration for us and we hope this is reflected in the quality and standard of accommodation provided.

For many of our visitors, the countryside here is well known for walks in fields and woods, with the Mortimer Trail a firm favourite. You can make use of our bikes if you want to explore in a different way. There are lots of half-timbered buildings to be found on the Black-and-White Trail close by, as well as several properties of the National Trust. And there are the attractions of the market towns of Leominster, Hereford and Ludlow, while nearby Wales offers the book town of Hay-on-Wye and spectacular scenery.

Accommodation for our guests consists of a double bedroom with an en-suite bathroom, with roll-top bath and separate shower, and a twin bedroom with its own private bathroom, with corner bath and also a separate shower.
Each room is equipped with colour TV/ DVD, radio with CD-player, Wireless Internet and coffee and tea making facilities. Cot and high chair available.

Meals are all AGA cooked. They can be served in the garden, weather permitting. Full English Breakfast is included.
A three course evening meal of the day can be served on request. All meals have vegetarian options, and can be provided by arrangement.
