Stokesay Court is no exception and to mark 125 years since its completion the Time Flies Theatre Company has written a special performance, to be shown on the 6th and 7th of October, documenting some of the highs and lows faced by such houses and families throughout the country in the intervening years. From their heyday as family homes and places to entertain, through their various uses in two world wars, many houses struggled and fell into disrepair as fortunes and lifestyles changed.
