What is Mortimer Country Ltd?
Founded and constituted in 2000 as a self-sustaining community tourism marketing network group with the aim that community tourism can make a significant and direct contribution to both community and working life and the economy of the area.
During this time it has put Mortimer Country on the map and has developed considerable goodwill on behalf of its members with the Explore Mortimer Country website and the annual brochure. A reflection on the quality of product and service offered by individual members are the numerous, local, regional and national awards received by their business.
Geographically located on the borders north Herefordshire, the Shropshire Hills AONB and the Radnor Hills of Powys the particular strengths of Mortimer Country are the very strong cultural and historic heritage, leisure, natural and built environment links that create a robust ‘sense of place’ unique to the locality.
Membership is £40 pa and includes listing in our publication, website, and attendance at our meetings & events. If you join after our brochure has been published for the year - we can list you in our website for a reduced cost. Please ask for details
