For Live art performances throughout Herefordshire and Shropshire and in Craven Arms village hall, checkout Arts Alive for the programme of performances. Nearby Ludlow also hosts a two week Arts festival in June/ July, including Shakespeare performances in the Castle. Ludlow's Assembly Rooms have a year round programme of live pmusic, dance, theatre,cinema. The National Trust properties of Croft Castle and Berrington Hall, near Craven Arms, has regular outdoor concerts and shows. The Courtyard Theatre in Hereford has a year round programme of live theatre, music, crafts & cinema.
Arts Alive also operates big screen cinema in Craven Arms and other village halls in the area under the banner Flicks in the Sticks.
Each Spring, enjoy the Borderlines Film festival in lots of villages around Craven Arms in Mortimer Country. The village hall in Craven Arms has access to National Theatre Live with satellite screenings of major productions at a fraction of the cost of a West End seat.

Hay International Literary festival takes place each May half term, and is easily accessible from Craven Arms. Mortimer Country is also lucky to have its own music festivals; from Lionstock in Leintwardine, to Presteigne's classical music festival over the August Bank holiday, to a world music celebration " Sheep Music"

The amazing landscape around Craven Arms is inspiration for many local artists. You can see their work and visit the artists studios ,during Shropshire art Week in June,and h.Art Week in September both display many artists works in their studios and galleries throughout Herefordshire. The Rodd, part of the Sidney Nolan Trust near Presteigne, has many exhibitions and talks to enjoy.
